What's special
Whetstone Weir is stocked by the Inglewood Fish Stocking Association Inc. The weir is stocked with golden perch, Murray cod and silver perch. In 2017/18 1,415 golden perch and 165 Murray cod were stocked in the Whetstone Weir. The weir joined SIPS in 2016 but has previously been stocked from other funding sources.
Location
Whetstone Weir is located on the Macintyre Brook River approximately 15km south west of Inglewood off the McDougalls Road. The weir is suitable for small vessels and paddlecraft. There is a reserve on the south side of the river that allows free camping. Accommodation is also available in Inglewood. The reserve also has picnic tables.
