Our business groups

Agriculture

Agriculture enables industry businesses and government to improve market supply chains, manage risks, build resilience, and manage the delivery of regional assistance to industry. We undertake research, development and extension that enriches Queensland's agricultural businesses.

Biosecurity

Biosecurity Queensland leads the government's efforts to protect our way of life, environment, biodiversity, human and animal health, industries and economy from plant and animal pests and diseases. We support capability and capacity development in prevention and preparedness in the evolving biosecurity domain. We lead efforts to enshrine high standards of animal welfare, maintain access to interstate markets for agricultural produce and regulate the use of agriculture and veterinary chemicals.

Corporate

Corporate supports all business groups by delivering finance, information technology, communications and engagement services, digital engagement and systems management, human resources and organisational performance management.

Fisheries and Forestry

Fisheries and Forestry manages the sustainability and allocation of fisheries and forestry resources for all Queenslanders. It also incorporates the enforcement of fisheries and boating safety laws through the Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol. This enables profitable businesses and enjoyable recreational fishing experiences for locals and visitors.
